I first met Erica and Michael over lunch on a rainy, chilly day in Massachusetts. Their eyes lit up when told me how excited they were that Michael’s aunt generously offered her beautiful show horse farm in Mattapoisett as the backdrop for their wedding day. I pictured a beautiful, rustic backyard farm wedding on the South Shore of Massachusetts. When I arrived to the farm on the day of the wedding, I was amazed by the level of event design and production that went into transforming the already beautiful property into truly an event experience. John and Jasmine at Westport Art and Garden played with traditional concepts of flowers, and created things I’ve never seen before- like floral towers and a larger than life garland over the entrance to the horse barn.

I could tell by looking at Erica and Michael that they were basking in the love and support of their family and friends. They took in all the speeches, readings, and dances with family and friends, and radiated out joy and peace. Special thanks to Amy Emily for helping me document their story!
