Their story reminds me a bit of Sliding Doors with the many “almost misses”, and “just happened to be in the almost right place” moments.  Sarah was the first person James met when he moved to New York City from London. Four months later, Sarah went to work in London. By the time she moved back to NYC, James had just returned to London. After a year and a half more of crossing the pond and just missing each other, they finally reunited when Sarah finagled a way to move back to London.

I was lucky to meet this globetrotting couple when they decided to get married in Boston. Another small world story for you- Sarah grew up in the same town outside Boston that I lived in for six years of my childhood! Their early October wedding day was unseasonably chilly in true Boston fashion, and the British contingency warmed up with beers at the famous Cheers Bar. We then braved the wind and made the pilgrimage across the street from the Hampshire House to the Boston Common to make some portraits in that beautiful space. It was such a wonderful coming together of families and friend with much shared laughter, and memories to take back home.
