Leslie & Adam

Meet Adam and Leslie. their story goes all the way to college at a 90s themed party at Adam’s apartment senior year. However, it was another year and a half before they really got to know each other. Leslie was good friends with Adam’s twin brother Erica, and Adam would come visit Eric in Boston, and got to know Leslie. Soon, he started to find more excuses to visit more often just to see Leslie.  After 6 months of building up the courage to ask her out, Adam took Leslie out on a romantic date in the North End – and the rest is history!

Of course, I needed to get Leslie’s side of the story. “As Adam started to come visit Boston, I began to see that there was a very special sweetness and kindness to him that made me want to continue to get to know him and hope that he would want to get to know me.” Keep reading to see our adventures for their South Boston engagement session.

These two live in the Seaport District of Boston, so we decided to explore the spaces, and late afternoon light in their neighborhood together before ending the evening at Castle Island in South Boston with their sweet pup Charley.  It was the ideal early fall afternoon for wandering, with amazing sunshine, and just a touch of wind to keep it dramatic.

I do most of my engagement sessions during the week and at the end of the day, it’s so easy in the day to day to get caught up in the to-dos, and the routine. To prepare for the session, I ask couples questions about each other ahead of time to help reflect upon their partner, and draw upon that genuine, greater love and affection when they get in front of the camera.

Adam says he  “always admired the way Leslie cares for and adores those close to her – for any of her friends and family she will always do whatever she can to make their day a bit brighter or easier.”  And Leslie remarked about Adam, “If you look at how he goes through the day you can see that everything he does has me (or Charley!) in mind.” Thank you both for spending the afternoon with me, exploring the city .
