Ashley and Taylor are some of the kindest and most hospitable people you’ll meet, and it was such a pleasure getting to spend time with them prior to their wedding day in Connecticut next year. We walked around their neighborhoods and visited personal landmarks for these New Yorkers. I asked Ashley what one of the moments she is most looking forward to on their wedding day, and she said, “Our first dance as a married couple, with our amazing band playing and a cool shoreline breeze blowing.” Why wait until next year for alfresco dancing? They practiced a bit in Washington Square park, with a live Jazz trio playing, and kids running around. We continued on in the golden sunshine through the park, and down the street to Joseph Leonard, the favorite neighborhood haunt where Ashley and Taylor got engaged.

We made a stop into Taylor’s apartment to visit their cats Jack and Wes, who were clearly thrilled to have their portraits made. From there, we ventured over to Grand Central where they often hop on trains to escape the city on weekend adventures.  Ashley and Taylor lead a full life here together surrounded by family and friends. We came across more than a couple of familiar faces in our travels offering their congratulations. This was just the engagement session, I can’t wait to see the love that will surround these two on their wedding day! It’s bound to be gorgeous with True Event and Hana Floral Design on the team.
